Description
This item will enable you to have accurate reads/writes with just about all SPI Flash Memory packages used in MacBook models. The following can be read with this adapter:
- MacBook SPI Flash Memory (EFI)
- MacBook T2 ROM (**1.8v Adapter Required**)
- MacBook Bluetooth/WiFi SPI Flash Memory
- MacBook USB SPI Flash Memory
In order to ensure greater support, the following layouts are provided with this adapter
- SOP-8
- USON-8 3×2
- USON-8 4×3
- WSON-8 6×5
- WSON-8 8×6
- XSON-8
With this adaptor, you will be able to modify the serial number of newer MacBooks that have a standalone T2 chip (will need a 1.8v adapter to utilize reading/writing to the T2 chip). This would include all MacBooks that have an Intel-based CPU. The following newer model MacBooks are supported by this adapter:

Models with the new M1 chip do have a T2 ROM chip. This can be read and modified, but the serial number is no longer present on this chip (meaning you cannot modify the serial number for models with the m1 chip at this time).
