Description
This item will enable you to have accurate reads/writes to the T2 ROM. This does require a 1.8v adapter as the there is no voltage translation is built into the adapter (we do offer a product that does HERE). This will work using just about any universal EEPROM programmer capable of reading SPI Flash Memory (including ch341a Programmers).
With this board, you will be able to complete the following task:
- Change the serial number
- Check the T2 ROM to ensure it is not corrupt
- Flash new T2 ROM (T2 Repository coming soon)
The following MacBook models are fully supported by this adapter:

Models with the new M1 chip do have a T2 ROM chip. This can be read and modified, but the serial number is no longer present on this chip (meaning you cannot modify the serial number for models with the m1 chip at this time).
This product was designed for accurate reads and a small form factor. This is a great solution for those with a smaller USB programmer that is space-limited.
